Oceana Funds Sponsors the 2025 North Bondi Swim Classic

We are thrilled to announce that Oceana Funds has proudly sponsored the 2025 Oceana Funds North Bondi Swim Classic for the third consecutive year. This event, organised by Ocean Swims and the North Bondi Surf Club, continues to be a highlight in our community calendar.
This year’s Swim Classic featured two exciting events: a 1km course and a 2km course. Both events showcased the incredible talent and determination of all participants, from seasoned swimmers to enthusiastic newcomers.

This year, in honour of the memory of Bondi icon and swimming legend Neil “Coach” Rogers, who was the voice behind ocean swimming for decades, there was a Dash-For-Cash race after the 2km swim which was a thrilling spectacle for the crowd.

This year was a record for participation with over 1,200 participants across all three races.

The Hon. Scott Morisson was on hand to present the trophies and prize packs to the race winners. Congratulations to the overall winners:

  • Men’s 2km race – Hayden Cotter
  • Women’s 2km race – Frances Shires
  • Men’s 1km race – Charlie Verco
  • Women’s 1km race – Maeve Ryan
  • Men’s Dash-For-Cash race – Charlie Verco
  • Women’s Dash-For-Cash race – Sophie Ferenczi

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the volunteers whose tireless efforts made this event possible. Your dedication and hard work are the backbone of this event, and we couldn’t have done it without you.

The community spirit at the North Bondi Swim Classic is truly wonderful. It’s inspiring to see everyone come together to support one another and celebrate our shared love for swimming and the ocean.

We congratulate not only the winners of the events but also every participant. Your fantastic effort is a testament to your individual achievements and contributes to the overall success of the day. Thank you for making this event memorable and for embodying the spirit of community and sportsmanship.
